In the heart of San Francisco, the Little Vine redesign project harmoniously blended the charm of a 70s Southern Italian town with a touch of retro-futurism. Aimed at refreshing the brand of this beloved local wine and cheese market, the redesign focused on making the most of their compact yet vibrant storefront in the bustling North Beach neighborhood.
By diving deep into the North Beach identity, our brand design efforts sought to encapsulate the eclectic mix of history and modernity that defines the area. The redesigned brand identity of Little Vine was meticulously crafted to resonate with both locals and visitors, drawing inspiration from the distinctive atmosphere of a late 70’s southern Italian town. This historical context, combined with a retro-futuristic design approach, allowed us to create a brand experience that is both nostalgic and forward-looking.
The packaging design for Little Vine was envisioned to stand out in San Francisco’s competitive retail space. Utilizing a palette of dull greens and heavy walnut grains, we aimed to set a tone that is both welcoming and sophisticated. The design pays homage to the bounty and opulence typical of an upscale market while integrating a grittier finish reflective of the city’s iconic bohemian flair. Each element of the packaging was thoughtfully designed to contribute to an immersive environmental experience, distinguishing Little Vine from other city retailers.
