Revolutionizing hair restoration with ARTAS iX and a new chair design that merges comfort with cutting-edge aesthetics.
Our industrial design process began with deep user research to understand patient needs and preferences. Insights from site visits informed our design strategy, focusing on ergonomic improvements such as optimized seating posture, an adjustable headrest for enhanced comfort, and advanced seating adjustments. Inspired by the elegance and style of luxury sports cars, we aimed to incorporate sleek, automotive-style 'bucket' seating and dynamic forms into the chair design, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable experience for patients undergoing hair restoration procedures.
The mechanical engineering phase was crucial in bringing our industrial design concepts to life. We developed a prototype that embodied the envisioned design aesthetics while ensuring the chair's functionality met the highest standards of comfort and adjustability. By meticulously engineering the chair's components, we created a product that not only looked close to the final production unit but also provided an unparalleled level of comfort and support to patients. This attention to detail and commitment to quality was reflected in the positive reception at the ARTAS iX System's unveiling, demonstrating the impact of thoughtful engineering on enhancing the overall patient experience.
